Hello and Welcome!
My name is Carmen Collier! Born in Frankfurt, Germany to a German Mom and American/Croatian father, we moved to the West Coast at an early age. My parents opened a restaurant in Southern California where I spent my early years learning how to shop for quality ingredients, prep and cook delicious homemade meals. My family instilled in us the value of doing a job correctly, and the importance of having an eye for detail. I obtained my Real Estate/Property Management License in 1999 where I went on to be a top producer for many years while concurrently owning and operating a successful cleaning business, specializing in custom homes.
Since 2011, I have enjoyed life as a full time professional in the hospitality industry. From 2017-2019 I was employed at Waldorf Astoria's ~ Grand Wailea Hotel & Resort on Maui as a Suite Liaison for VIP guests and where I was fortunate enough to receive "Forbes Standards Five Star Customer Training". This has been an invaluable tool in my career and is essential in meeting and exceeding guests' expectations and overall experience during their stay.
I am a member of the Interim Innkeepers Network and numerous innkeeping groups and forums both domestically and internationally. I have lived in many amazing places and have travelled to over 22 countries. Sebastian, Florida is the place where I now call home, however I am always open to working anywhere in the world.
